About Dr. Kosmas Nikolaos
Dr. Nikolaos M. Kosmas, MD, PhD, FESC, MSc, is a specialist cardiologist and military physician based in Rhodes, Greece, with extensive experience in clinical, preventive and emergency cardiology. He graduated from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Medical School and the Military School of Officers Corps. He completed his specialist training in Cardiology at major Greek hospitals, including Attikon University Hospital in Athens, and obtained the European Diploma in Cardiology from the European Society of Cardiology. He holds a PhD from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and a Master's degree in Healthcare Management. He is also a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology (FESC), with an active background in cardiovascular research and scientific publications. Since 2024, he has served as Director of the 95th National Guard Medical Battalion (Rhodes Military Hospital). He also maintains a private cardiology practice in Rhodes and collaborates with the General Clinic of the Dodecanese – Euromedica. His clinical interests include coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, heart failure, hypertension, valvular heart disease, cardiovascular prevention and sports cardiology. Dr. Kosmas provides personalized, evidence-based cardiovascular care to both local residents and international visitors. Consultations are available in Greek, English and German.
