Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using this website or submitting a booking request. By using rhodesmedicalservices.com, you agree to these Terms.
1. About These Terms
These Terms govern your use of rhodesmedicalservices.com, requests for healthcare appointments, booking requests made through the website, communication and appointment coordination facilitated through Rhodes Medical Services, and your use of the information and services provided through the website.
These Terms are written to be clear for tourists and international visitors. Please read them before making a booking request.
2. About Rhodes Medical Services
Rhodes Medical Services is a medical coordination network connecting patients with independent physicians across multiple specialties in Rhodes.
“Rhodes Medical Services” is a trade name under which the operator of this website facilitates access to independent healthcare professionals in Rhodes, Greece. Rhodes Medical Services helps patients:
- identify an appropriate medical specialty;
- request appointments;
- communicate with participating healthcare professionals;
- arrange clinic or location visits where available;
- access information relating to healthcare services in Rhodes.
Rhodes Medical Services is not a hospital and is not a separate incorporated company.
3. Healthcare Professionals and Clinical Responsibility
Medical care is provided by the individual healthcare professional responsible for the consultation or treatment. Each physician or healthcare professional makes their own clinical decisions. Diagnosis, treatment, prescriptions, investigations, referrals and medical certificates are determined according to the treating professional’s own clinical judgment, based on history, examination, available tests and other relevant medical information.
Rhodes Medical Services facilitates access to healthcare professionals but does not determine the diagnosis, prescribe treatment, override a doctor’s clinical judgment, or guarantee any particular clinical outcome.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability for professional negligence, or any other liability, that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under Greek or EU law.
4. Medical Information on the Website
Medical information published on this website is intended for general informational and educational purposes only. It does not substitute for an individual medical consultation, physical examination, diagnosis, treatment, or emergency assessment. Reading content on this website does not create a doctor-patient relationship and does not provide a diagnosis.
5. Emergencies
For life-threatening emergencies, call 112 immediately.
This includes, for example, severe chest pain, severe difficulty breathing, loss of consciousness, major uncontrolled bleeding, suspected stroke, or any other immediately life-threatening symptoms.
The website, email, the contact form, and the booking form must not be relied upon for life-threatening emergencies. Urgent but non-life-threatening medical problems may be directed to Rhodes Medical Services through the published contact channels on the Contact page.
6. Bookings and Appointment Requests
Submitting a booking request is not the same as receiving appointment confirmation. Once you submit a request, Rhodes Medical Services reviews it and follows up with confirmation of the appointment details.
- Requested times may not always be available.
- The assigned clinician, time, or location may occasionally need to change.
- Rhodes Medical Services may contact you to confirm or adjust arrangements.
- You must provide accurate contact information (phone/email) so you can be reached.
- Please follow any confirmation instructions you receive.
Same-day care is coordinated where possible but is not guaranteed by submitting a booking request; for same-day urgent requests, calling directly is faster than the booking form.
7. Clinic Visits and Visits at Your Location
Depending on the specialty, the healthcare professional, clinical appropriateness, your location, and availability, medical care may be delivered at a clinic or medical office, or at your location (for example a hotel, villa, or residence).
Where a location visit carries an additional travel or location charge, this will be communicated before the appointment is confirmed.
8. Fees and Direct Payment to Healthcare Professionals
Medical consultation fees are paid directly by the patient to the healthcare professional providing the medical service.
Rhodes Medical Services does not receive a percentage or commission from the consultation fee paid to the healthcare professional. Where applicable, the treating healthcare professional is responsible for issuing the appropriate receipt or documentation relating to the medical service provided.
Where the website publishes a service price, that price should be treated as the applicable published price for the specified service, unless additional services are clinically required and agreed. Additional costs may arise for items such as laboratory tests, imaging, medication, medical procedures, hospital services, other third-party diagnostic services, additional clinically necessary services, or travel/location fees where applicable. These are not included unless stated as included.
9. Payment Methods
Payment is generally collected in connection with the consultation or service provided. Depending on the healthcare professional, payment may be made using cash (EUR) or a supported debit/credit card.
10. Receipts, Medical Reports and Insurance Documentation
Depending on your visit, you may receive an official receipt and, where clinically appropriate, medical documentation, a medical report, or a certificate justified by the physician’s assessment. These documents may assist you when submitting a claim to your travel or health insurer.
- Rhodes Medical Services and the treating physician cannot guarantee reimbursement.
- Reimbursement depends on your individual insurance policy.
- You are responsible for checking your own insurance coverage.
- Unless specifically agreed otherwise, insurers are not billed directly.
- You remain responsible for paying the healthcare professional directly.
11. Cancellations and Rescheduling
If you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment, please inform Rhodes Medical Services or the relevant healthcare professional at least 6 hours before the appointment whenever reasonably possible, so that the appointment can be cancelled or rescheduled.
No cancellation fee or no-show fee is charged by Rhodes Medical Services under this policy.
An appointment may occasionally need to be rescheduled due to medical emergencies, clinician availability, transport issues, or other circumstances outside reasonable control.
12. Patient Responsibilities
To help us arrange safe and appropriate care, please:
- provide accurate contact information;
- provide truthful and relevant medical history;
- disclose known allergies;
- disclose medications you are taking where relevant;
- disclose relevant existing medical conditions;
- follow instructions from your treating healthcare professional;
- seek emergency assistance when advised to do so;
- attend the agreed appointment or location on time where reasonably possible;
- give at least 6 hours’ notice when cancelling or rescheduling, whenever reasonably possible.
13. Prescriptions
Prescriptions are issued only when clinically appropriate, legally permitted, and considered necessary by the responsible physician. Requesting a particular medication does not automatically entitle you to receive that prescription. Where a tourist requests a medication replacement, the physician may need to verify the original medication, dosage, indication, and relevant medical history.
14. Medical Certificates and Reports
Sick notes, medical reports, fit-to-fly documentation, insurance-related certificates, and other medical certificates may be issued only when clinically and professionally justified. The healthcare professional retains responsibility for deciding whether a requested document can appropriately be issued. Payment for a consultation does not guarantee that a particular certificate will be issued.
15. Children and Minors
Medical care involving minors is subject to applicable Greek law and appropriate parental/legal guardian involvement. Where required, consent must be provided by a parent, legal guardian, or another legally authorised person.
16. Diagnostic Tests, Referrals and Third-Party Services
The treating healthcare professional may recommend or coordinate laboratory testing, diagnostic imaging, hospital assessment, specialist referral, pharmacy services, procedures, or other healthcare services. Where these are provided by independent third parties, they may charge separately, operate under their own terms, and retain responsibility for the services they provide. Rhodes Medical Services does not own or control independent hospitals, laboratories, pharmacies, or imaging centres.
17. No Guarantee of Medical Outcome
Healthcare outcomes vary between patients. Neither Rhodes Medical Services nor a healthcare professional can guarantee recovery, cure, symptom resolution, a particular diagnostic outcome, suitability for travel, or reimbursement by an insurer.
18. Website Availability
Reasonable efforts are made to keep this website available and accurate, but continuous uninterrupted operation cannot be guaranteed. Temporary interruption may occur due to maintenance, technical failures, hosting/network issues, cyber incidents, or other events outside reasonable control. If online booking is unavailable, please use the published contact information on the Contact page.
19. Privacy and Personal Data
Personal data is handled according to our Privacy Policy. Information about cookies and similar technologies is available in our Cookie Policy.
20. Intellectual Property
Original website text, branding, layout, graphics, photographs, logos, and other original content may be protected by intellectual-property law. Normal personal, non-commercial use of the website is permitted. We do not claim ownership of third-party trademarks, external logos, third-party photographs, medical society materials, or copyrighted content belonging to others.
21. External Links
This website may link to third-party websites. Rhodes Medical Services does not control independent third-party websites and is not responsible for their content, privacy policies, availability, terms, or services.
22. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Rhodes Medical Services cannot reasonably be responsible for loss arising solely from inaccurate or incomplete information provided by a patient, independent third-party services, unavoidable technical interruptions, or events outside reasonable control.
23. Events Outside Reasonable Control
Circumstances such as severe weather, transport disruption, island access issues, unexpected clinician illness or unavailability, power outages, telecommunications failures, public emergencies, or other circumstances outside reasonable control may lead to delay, rescheduling, or cancellation of an appointment.
24. Changes to These Terms
These Terms may be updated to reflect legal, regulatory, operational, service, or technical changes. The current version of this page always displays the latest “Last updated” date shown above.
25. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Greece, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer rights or protections that may apply under Greek or European Union law.
